Meet the Founder—

Brian Fernandez, CCF (Chief Coffee Fanatic)

Brian Fernandez is a retired U.S. Air Force veteran with 23 years of active-duty and reserve service and a retired Phoenix PD police officer. His global travels over the course of his career introduced him to the diverse world of coffee. Inspired, he purchased his first roaster in 2018, kick-starting the creation of Yellow Spruce Roasters. As the company’s first roaster, Brian honed his craft and developed our proprietary coffee roasts that we proudly serve today.

Brian has learned how coffee has the power to bring people together across cultures and conversations. His passion for quality and relationships drives the heart of our community-forward brand. After all, great coffee tastes even better with great service.
