A name rooted in stories.
Yellow Spruce is a representation of our personal origins, which began in the Colorado pines and firmly rests in the Arizona desert. Our travels have taken us all over the world in both leisure and service. Our logo, a lone spruce twig shrouded by yellow and green, are reminders of the places we call home.
We started with a dream and a passion for coffee.
Ah, yes! Each day, people start with a cup of “joe”. Coffee, the beverage that connects people and lifts communities throughout the world.
As former law enforcement and military veterans, we know the importance of patriotism and community. Coffee has always been the mainstay for bringing communities together. We believe in our core values of public service and connecting people, and Yellow Spruce continues to serve local communities by connecting people through relationships… one cup at time.
MEET OUR FOUNDER
Brian Fernandez
Brian Fernandez is a retired military veteran having served 23 years in the United States Air Force (active-duty and reserves) and a retired police officer for a major metropolitan police department. His military experience has afforded him the opportunity to travel all over the world and experience various coffee flavors. His law enforcement experience has shown him the importance of community how coffee brings people together both locally and internationally. Whether experiencing coffee overseas or to get through a late-night patrol, our founder believes in the entire coffee experience from seed to cup. His vision is to bring these experiences to Yellow Spruce customers. He has a deep passion for coffee and community, which is paramount to the quest to bring each customer quality coffee.
